I bring with me over 25 years of experience in working with children, their families as well as their educators. I believe for a successful therapeutic relationship with children and their caretakers, it is best to meet them where they are, both physically and emotionally. I take my services to where the client needs and benefits most, i.e. at home, at school or at my office. I use the play therapy approach and am trained in the Level 1 and 2 Theraplay® practices.
I have worked with children dealing with anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, grief, attachment issues, conflicted social relationships, self identity problems, low-motivation, divorce of parents, and adoption.
I use the play therapy approach in working with children. I also help parents understand children’s play and work with parents in building that play oriented relationship in order to help the child and the family work through the issues that concern them. I offer several mindfulness based services.
